How to Add Nominee to Dhan Account?
Adding a nominee ensures a smooth transfer of your securities to your chosen beneficiary in case of death. You can add a nominee to the Dhan account using the steps below:
Steps to add a nominee to the Dhan account

| 1 | Log in to your Dhan app. |
| 2 | Tap on ‘Profile & Account Details’ to add nominees |
| 3 | Tap on ‘Add Nomination’ at the bottom of the screen |
| 4 | Add the nominee’s name, the relationship you share with the nominee, date of birth, phone number, email address, and identity proof. |
| 5 | Click on the ‘save details’ option and then the ‘proceed to next’ button. |
| 6 | Mention distribution of percentage for nominees. Tick on the dialogue box and choose the ‘proceed to next’ option. |
| 7 | Proceed with the Aadhaar registered and Dhan account linked phone number on the e-sign form. You’ll be directed to an NSDL platform. Tick on the dialogue box. Enter the Aadhaar number. |
| 8 | Click on ‘Send OTP.’ You’ll receive an OTP on your phone number or email ID. |
How do I add a nominee in Dhan?
Step 1: Log in to your green-coloured Dhan app.
Step 2: Add nominees by tapping into your Dhan app’s ‘Profile & Account Details’.
Step 3: Find an option to ‘Add Nomination’ at the bottom of the screen, below your Account Details.
Step 4: Add the nominee’s name, the relationship you share with the nominee, date of birth, phone number, email address, and identity proof.
Step 5: Click on the ‘save details’ option and then the ‘proceed to next’ button.
Step 6: Mention your distribution of percentage for nominees. Tick on the dialogue box and choose the ‘proceed to next’ option.
Step 7: You’ll be directed to an e-sign form. Proceed with Aadhaar registered and Dhan account linked phone number. You’ll be directed to an NSDL platform. Tick on the dialogue box. Enter the Aadhaar number.
Step 8: Click on ‘Send OTP.’ You’ll receive an OTP on your phone number or email ID. Enter them in the designated place.
And, by completing these steps, your e-sign will be successful and your process will be complete. Note: No charges will incur if you’re adding nominees for the first time. You can add a maximum of up to 3 nominations.
