To effectively access and read your Demat account statement from CDSL, obtaining and downloading a consolidated account summary (CAS) is the best way. You can review your statements by following these steps:

1. Visit the CDSL website at cdslindia.com
   
2. Then click on the CAS login option
   
3. Next, you need to enter your PAN Number
   
4. Enter your BO ID (16-digit Demat number mentioned on your account statement) and date of birth.
   
5. Then you need to enter the captcha code for further validation

6. You will then receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email if the provided information is correct.
   
7. You need to enter the OTP received
   
8. Then click on submit.
   
9. Once you have provided all the above details, your CAS will load in a new window. 

By following these steps, you will be able to view your statements of holdings and accounts.
