A Basic Services Demat Account (BSDA) is tailored for small investors who don’t frequently engage in stock market activities like trading stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or ETFs. It allows for maintaining the demat account with lower costs.

A demat account is automatically classified as a BSDA if either of the following conditions is met: if each PAN has only one demat account registered with a broker, or if the total value of holdings in the demat account is less than ₹2,00,000.

AMC is deducted from the Zerodha account once a quarter, or every ninety days, beginning on the date of account opening. The funds statement includes the amount of AMC and by going to console.zerodha.com/funds/statement, one may view the amount.
