To open a Zerodha account offline, you’ll need to gather the necessary documents and follow the below steps:

Step 1: Application Form: Download the application form provided by Zerodha.

Step 2: Equity Trading and Demat Account Form: Fill out the equity trading and demat account form, available in PDF format.

Step 3: DDPI Form (Optional): Submitting a DDPI form is optional, clients who opened accounts online can utilize the CDSL TPIN for securities debit authorization.

Step 4: Commodity Account Form: If you intend to trade in commodities, fill out the commodity account form.

Step 5: Supporting Documents:

  • Passport-Size Photograph: Affix and sign across the equity and commodity applications.
  • Self-Attested PAN Copy: Ensure the signature is under the Applicant signature.

  • Self-Attested Address Proof: Provide a valid ID such as driving license, voter ID, passport, ,National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREA) job card, National Population Register (NPR) letter, Aadhaar Card. If submitting Aadhaar, ensure it is masked.

  • Bank Account Proof: Submit a personalized canceled cheque with the name printed on it, bank statement, bank passbook copy with the bank account number, bank logo, seal, MICR, and IFSC code clearly visible.

  • Income Proof for F&O Trading:
    • Bank statement for the last six months with an average balance of more than ₹10,000.
    • The latest salary slip with gross monthly income exceeding ₹15,000.
    • ITR acknowledgement with gross annual income exceeding ₹1,20,000.
    • Form 16 with gross annual income exceeding ₹1,20,000.
    • Certificate of net worth more than ₹10,00,000.
    • Statement of demat holdings with current holdings value exceeding ₹10,000.

Step 6: Sample Copy and Signature Guidelines: Refer to samples and signature guidelines for accurate completion.

Step 7: In-Person Verification (IPV): Undergo mandatory IPV via webcam or physical verification.

Step 8: Submission: Email soft copies of all forms to forms@zerodha.com for review. Once approved, courier the physical documents along with a cheque payable to Zerodha Broking Limited for ₹500 towards Equity and Commodity trading account opening charges.
