How Can I Add Nominee to My Upstox Account?

If you are using an updated version of the Upstox app, follow the below steps to add a nominee.

Step 1: Using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics, log in to the Upstox app.

Step 2: At the bottom of the screen, select “Account”

Step 3: Click on “My Account”

Step 4: In the Account section, click on “Profile”

Step 5: Click on “My nominee” and you will be redirected to the “Nominee details” page.

Step 6: Click on “Add Nominee” and fill required details. Then, click “Continue”

Step 7: Once nominee details are filled out, enter ‘Nominee share in %’. 

Step 8: You can add 2 more nominees to your account by clicking ‘Add Nominee’. Nevertheless, this is an optional step. The total ‘Nominee share in %’ should be 100 if you add one nominee. You can have a maximum of three nominees.

Step 9: Click on ‘Continue’ once all the nominees have been added.

Step 10: The nominee’s guardian details must also be included if the nominee is underage/minor. As the guardian, you can also provide your own details.

Step 11: You will receive a 6-digit OTP on your registered mobile number, Enter it.

Step 12: Your nomination request will be verified by the Upstox team once you have submitted it. Upon approval, your nominee will be added within 24 hours.
